Hello, this has been on ebay many days for a ridiculous price, 100,000.00 DOLLARS! I know there is no way in hell it is worth that much, but how much is it worth exactly. My guess would be no more than a 1,000 but what do you think.

Its VGA the sellers always overprice things in hope to make a large amount of money VGA is worthless to me lol ! and you are right 1000 seems much more accurate ! however i have never spent more then $160 on any game xD =P i am not stupid enough to spend money on VGA items of any kind even if i had the money

So now collectors like Mark are on the VGA bullshit bandwagon with undumped games? fantastic. Nintendo Age needs to stop stroking those idiots off and stop convincing people that a VGA game is worth infinity dollars.

Even worse, I asked the seller if the person who bought it took it out of the VGA case to test it to make sure it worked(because if your going to pay that kind of money on a game your going to want to test it) the seller would NOT except a return if it didn't work. But I guess you could get around that if you payed via credit card through a chargeback.

that sounds kinda questionable, Mark is a respected collector though so I dont' see why he'd try to pull something like that

A proto in a VGA case is a new one to me.

Also, I'd like to know what qualifications the VGA guys have to enable them to rate a prototype. I'd like to bet that a lot of the members here... even Mark himself would be more qualified!

There was a huge rant over on Gamesniped about that. Basically, they have 0 qualifications.

This is just stupid, selling games at this price.

ebay needs to stop the free auction days stuff, if the seller was going to pay to ebay for putting this online at this BIN I am 100% sure the price wouldnt be that high.

Also VGA sucks, just a bunch of fags thinking they are videogame gods or whatever. Well, they are NOT.

Thanks for the heads up, I missed that discussion. Kinda backs up what I have thought about the company and the process all along.

I can't understand why Mark would put an unreleased proto into a protective case when he knows full well that any potential buyer would only really be interested in the content of the cart...

The only good explanation for me would be if they were simply seeing what would happen if it was 'graded'. But at this point, who knows. Could you imagine the money we could make by having our prototypes 'verified'? Millions!

I think Mark said the real reason of the auction was to help bring out other prototypes with the help of publicity the auction might get, and I guess listing it for a very high price and it being graded will only help that.

I like how the VGA label says "No Grade".

Doesn't it seem fantastically stupid to put a proto in a case without dumping it?

Hahaha, I didn't even notice that. So basically he sent them the prototype and they did nothing...

ebay needs to stop allowing people to list at these completely unrealistic prices, Mark's just milking for a high offer and using a ridiculous price to help his auction get more exposure since random sites will just post OMG 100K NES GAMES ON EBAY!! with no idea what bullshit he's pulling, basically fuck mark and fuck his brother

Why would ebay want to stop that? The Zelda sold for 55k on ebay and ebay did make a few bucks in the process.

I bought it years ago from Ken Love at Activision after I helped him out on the Activision Anthology project. There should be 6 games but there are only 4 and even then they are not all playable. Very early prototype that needs a lot of work still.
