Ok so my brother bought a 3DS a couple of weeks ago and so far has only got Rabbids 3D (I played it, nowhere near as bad as IGN would have you believe) but he finished it in like 2 days and now he has no idea what to buy because everything else looks like a waste of money. Ocarina of time is pointless because there are 3 seperate versions of it in the house, rayman 3D is just rayman 2 again, he hated the DS remake so he will no doubt hate this one too, not to mention we have the dreamcast and ps1 versions if he was particularly desperate to play it. He also isn't really a big fan of street fighter or DOA and he's too young for resident evil. So is there actually anything left worth buying? or should he just stick to playing his old Ds games until some decent ones arrive.
I'm not sure I'm not really keeping up too much with the 3DS I still don't know if I'm even going to get one. VITA though I'm all over eventually and everyone here knows I HATE SONY
That's fair enough, I'm barely keeping up to date with anything new myself, hence having to ask here I'm just finding I don't really care anymore, I haven't purchased an xbox game since assassin's creed brotherhood and the last wii game I bought was a £3 copy of madworld, hated it. For the dreamcast on the other hand....
Yeah I'm looking to collect Dreamcast games now myself. I have 4 duel blanked memory units ready to fill plus a VMU and Gameshark
Metal Gear Solid 3 will be out early next year, that's just about the only good 3DS game I can think of right now.
He doesn't like sony, I've trained him well to be a SEGA fanboy Not to mention the fact that he couldn't afford a PSP even if he wanted one due to spending most of his money on the 3DS. 'sides, it'll be obsolete before long, if he wanted something sony I'd probably tell him to wait for a vita or just dust off my neglected psp and give it to him, the only game I've ever played on it is crisis core anyway. Sounds interesting to be sure, but I don't think my mother would approve of me reccomending metal gear solid to my 12 year old brother. 'sides he'll be sorted for a while by next year, he's quite keen to get sonic generations, mario kart and whatever the other mario game is to be. I was more asking for current games as he has a new handheld and nothing to play
-I heard Star Fox is amazing. -The Zelda remake is really solid from the 30 minutes i played on it. The 3d is great.
Zelda OOT Starfox 64 Pilotwings Resort Streetfighter 4 All good games are still on their way with Super Mario 3D, Mariokart 7, Kid Icarus Uprising, Sonic Generations, Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts and a few others
Ok interesting. So is there actualy much of a difference between ocarina of time on the 3DSa nd the original? aside from the obvious 3D of course And I will certianly reccomend star fox to him. So steel diver and pilotwings resort are good too? What exactly are they?
Pilotwings Resort is ok but I found the 3D shitty at best, I just play in in 2D mode. Ridge Racer is good too.
Steel Diver is great It plays like a submarine simulation, you have to be precise and prepare your direction changes in advance. There are only 7 levels in the campaign mode, but you have to play them with 3 differents subs before unlocking the expert mode wich had enemies and obstacles in the levels, not to mention the devs ghost times that you have to beat to earn bonus sticker for your subs, allowing them to gain speed boost, homing torpedoes, reduced damages and so on... You can try the 2005 submarine tech demo on a DS emulator to get a feel of the campaign mode: http://wiki.akkit.org/DS_Demo_Info#Submarine_Tech_Demo http://nocash.emubase.de/no$gba-w.zip
Starfox is quite good, I've heard. He's too young for DOA5, but even if the reviewers hated Blazblue, HCK here says it's pretty good. I haven't seen Blazblue (not ONE copy in Mexico, it seems) - but that one would be as cool for someone that's 12 as it is for someone that's much older, wouldn't it? Also, don't dis the old DS carts - not 3D and all, but still, many awesome games. I would have loved the Ace Attorney series when I was a teenager. (I do now, as an old man)
No Unless you like spending money on games that are available on other systems cheaper and probably better...
I've actually heard nothing but high praise for Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars. I hear it compared to Advance Wars all the time.
