OoT 3D is exactly the same as the original in terms of gameplay, but with higher resolution textures, more polys, and slightly different controls. It also includes Master Quest - which, if you've never heard of it, is a more difficult version of OoT. You have the beat the normal game once to unlock it. I haven't played Pilotwings Resort much, so I'll leave that to someone else. Steel Diver is a bit like In the Hunt, if you've ever played that game. It's kinda like playing that game in slow motion, and with sliders on the touchscreen. It's definitely the most original game on the 3DS. Ridge Racer 3D is decent, as well. However, if you're like me and you've already played every other game in the series, it doesn't really bring anything new or interesting to the table. But if you're just looking for a good, portable Ridge Racer, it serves that purpose.
Not really helpful there Ok awesome, thank you I will pass all this information on to my brother I have master quest on a disc with my gamecube windwaker, s'all good
Another very nice thing though is that thanks to the smoother graphics, there is also little to no occurence of that infamous N64 fog (at least that I could see), which makes the game significantly less irritating to watch, especially when you're roaming the Hyrule field... The 3D also helps quite a lot to better estimate the various distances and allows for slightly better jumping in certain spots, but it plays ok without it as well.
Pilotwings and Steel Diver Get Pilotwings cheap somewhere, not enough content for the price IMO, but the content that is there is brilliant. It needs like 200% more area/craft/tasks, but it is THE proof of concept for the 3D. Turning 3D off makes certain challenges very difficult because it provides that much more spatial orientation capability.
I got Starfox 64 a few days ago. Awesome conversion. This is definitely the best version of Starfox so far. Still, I have some issues with the audio. The voices are certainly lower quality. The synth for the music sounds a bit flat, too. Or is it just me? The game looks fantastic, though. New textures? Thing is... I can no longer see the 3DS in 3D properly - it seems my eyes are VERY tired. I thought my unit was faulty or something, but everyone else still gets the effect from it. Even my 73 year old mother. It's just me, I guess. If I play Starfox in the morning or with decent lighting conditions, with the 3D on but way on the lower setting, the game looks fucking gorgeous. It plays like a dream, too. I play it with the 3D off, though, because of my recent eyesight issues. It still looks fantastic.
Star Fox 64 is a good one, talking to 12 years old and always liking space shooter in 3D. Sonic Generations is a great deal,to alot of speed, but the game you finish fast, like some 4,5 hours... Super Mario 3D Land is perfect,to a good plataform franquise in 3D.
