nah, ultimate ghost'n goblins for psp looks kick ass http://media.psp.ign.com/media/769/769179/imgs_1.html. It's just that this is dissapointing compared to the "real time" kill zone video.
Going by Sony's reputation for console build quality, I'm sure you will have more than one.... not by choice though.
Yeah, but who believed the Killzone III demo was real, anyway? I know Sony hypes (A LOT), but theres always an ugly title (or 100) in a game systems library. Im not one to judge games based on graphics but Untold legends looks kinda boring anyway.
*fingers in ears* La, la, la, not listening! Actually, it's kind of worrying how much I've convinced myself of the PS3's wonderfulness. Just hope I won't be too disappointed
I know they've had problems, like all consoles..but seriously. Half of the ps2 problems gotta be from dipshits treating them badly. I refurbished many DRE's I got off ebay and they've been perfect ever since. I'd say Sony has worse customer support than product quality. Making people pay to fix a problem that takes like 3 minutes to fix is robbery.
I think no one should ever follow the hype of any new generation game console. This is someone who believed and trusted sony with the ps2, and that tend to get into revolution's hype, even if i know i shouldnt. Everyone get deceived at the end. And im pretty sure everyone who followed ps3's hype will be deceived, or try to convince themselves that they aren't, just like for the revolution. (Gyroscopic 3d? ON? Hold on..) Keep in mind that they will always say that their new consoles the best console ever made. No one will ever say that their machine is good, but that competition's better. Sometimes they even compare their machines to the matrix, or cgi movies, but remember that in the end, a machine from a gen cannot differ much from another machine of the same gen, for the same price. Actually, alot of people. Casuals, mostly. And its Killzone 2, btw.
I thought they were making another Killzone for the PS2... Blah, my bad. It seems it was only a rumour.
I thought they changed the name from Killzone II to Killzone III. At the time of Killzone II (PS2) speculation, it wasnt stated as a rumor, though. More like something hinted at by a represenative or something. I dont really care about graphics one way or the other. Even though I wanted to play my PC games on the highest settings. Besides, the PS3 is 90% going to be RPGs. They wont have to worry about looking "1337" like the FPSs on the Xbox 360.
the good ol' "we have the graphics we rule"....if Sony points it only on the graphics PS3 wont get too far i fear..graphics alone arent enough to make me spend $$$ for a system. Besides, i think you can't simply judge on a simple screenshot, wont you?
I doubt that. Alot. RPGs are going down, at the same time the video games becomes more popular. And im not quite sure consumers, who will get the ps3 mainly for its power, will be happy to see lots of games that doesnt use the power of the machine. And rpgs are costly. Making costly things on a costly machine? You will only see squarenix releasing tons of rpgs, and still, they might just go to microsoft or nintendo. If you say your machine is powerfull, then you'll have to proove it in order to sell. That's how it works now, sadly.
E3 had either target renders (Killzone) or actual code running (Heavenly Sword), without the slowdown and with certain effects added that is.
Squarenix et al will go with whatever system performs the best in Japan. I think we all know which that will be. Besides the DS, I expect them to support the PS3 also! ;-)
If that were the case then Sony wouldnt be hyping their graphical power. To them, it is all about the graphics. The game is being made by Sony. Forgive us if we expected something more impressive than Xbox and Gamecube level graphics.
I started to look at the shots and I only see ugly art but the Graphics looks "Ok" to me. Also, dont think Im a Sony fanboy, because Im not. Even though Sony hyped up their graphics, I didnt get dragged into the hype. I let myself get hyped up for Halo 2 and it wasnt near as "Godly" as everyone said it was going to be. From then on I just went with the flow. I played the Xbox 360, it was cool, I might get one. Im just gonna buy things that are fun. I think most people are getting dragged into hype. I dont think they will ever learn, just like the thread of all the wonderful things the PS3 is said to be able to do just a few lines down. This is all I can say: "Hope is the first step to dissapointment."
I don't think graphics are going sell more or harm the sells of either system. Both systems are virtually the same graphically, the PS3 will have its high points and the 360 will have its high points. The PS3 has MGS4 and Heavenly Swords with no slowdown while the 360 will have Chromehounds and Ninety Nine Nights with no slow down (well, the impressive thing about Chromehounds will be the constant 60fps). Besides, my prediction is as follows: US: Close call between PS3 and 360. Due to cheaper factor and the lead, and despite the failure of the beloved Dreamcast, I predict the 360 will get it in the US. PAL: Ditto. Japan: Due to the Nintendo DS becoming a cultural phoenomena in and of itself, I predict the Revolution will come out on top there.
microsoft won't win in europe no matter what. High percentages of sony fans here around! in japan it'll be sony if they manage to get good rpg coverage from square-enix. i have no idea about usa market
It's going to be same same as last generation IMO, although Microsoft will make inroads on the huge gulf that existed between the XBox and PS2. Revolution will be something people buy because it's cheap (in comparison) and offers something unique, but it'll be an extra console for most. I think this new generation of consoles will last longer than the previous one.
I babied both of my PS2's besides playing them like alot. The first one is lying in a junk heap somewhere and I'm waiting for the newer one's laser to burn out again. Sony just likes to put in crap ass DVD drive components.
