Assemblergames User Meeting in Germany

Would anyone be up for a user meeting in good old Germany?

Are you afraid of me, or what is the matter? Simply no interest in a meet-up?

 

Depends on what part of .de you're thinking about. And then there's the fact that we don't really know a thing about each other, and personally I don't feel like ending up hanging around with what might turn out to be a bunch of 15yo retards (hi XBOX 360 subforum!).

Also, it's only been a day - Maybe wait till at least after the weekend?

 

If you Germans agree to come over to Holland for the meeting then I will happily welcome you all and show you around town.. and whatever else you might like to do in Amsterdam

 

Amsterdam is a great city I'd like to visit again.

If nobody want's to meet up here, I will come over on my own.

 

Distance wise for people living in scattered cities in germany it's probably the same.
Look for a good discount and grab the ICE, maybe we should make another thread to invite also the Dutch members :thumbsup:

The Amsterdam tour will include:

-A visit to the retro game shop http://www.gameover.nl/
-Sightseeing tour of old Amsterdam and the redlightdistrict.
-Coffeeshops, Smartshops & Hookers (advice only, at own risk
-End the evening in a typical Dutch pub with some beers.

 

The prices of gameover are through the roof! Been there twice with a few years in between. They had a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga for sale at a whopping 240€! Was still there when I visited them the second time.

 

See it more like a museum, actually buying something is nuts.

 

I am just wondering how they can survive with their pricing ;-)

The higher the prices, the less idiots you need to break even. You can either sell thousands of chicken eggs, or one Faberge egg. (Or, if you're good enough, one chicken egg for the price of a Faberge one. Try not to get caught though.)
You sure it was the -same- copy of PD Saga?

My guess would be that they survive mostly on posters etc - kinda-cheap, non-collectible stuff.

I'd be up for a user meet, but I won't drive hundreds of kilometres or fly half over Europe to meet one or two members I hardly know. If there'd be a big meet at London, Paris, Berlin or somewhere else in Europe, you can count me in.

Whew. A user meeting. Might be a good chance to socialize with some dudes from ag. (Didn't know that so many Germans are aroud here.)

 

Relatively close, Köln. I traveled to Nürnberg a few weeks ago for the daddelkingz.de meet up. Was totally worth it! Okay, I already knew the host and some people from other meetings.

 

I'd fly over for a meeting. I gotta meet a hot girl in Hamburg at somepoint so I might as well kill to birds with one stone.

 

That would be great. The more international the meet up the better I think.
