Auction alert - LE EA Xbox w/ Controllers

Yeah they seem to push anything remotely of value off to the auction site these days. In store, I rarely see consoles. They'll put cords and controllers in store sometimes but consoles are becoming scarce.

 

Many people didn't even know about the Goodwill auction site a few years ago so it didn't matter if a rare item was auctioned. Nowadays everybody watches the site same as Ebay.

 

Cuz I remember I picked up a GameCube at goodwill for 8 bucks! It was a steal! So i went back because I needed one for parts for my nr reader and there were almost no consoles... or even anything good in general. There was one copy of gta vice city for Xbox and that’s it as far as games

 

I know for a fact they have had an auction site since at least 2009 because that was when I started getting back into Dreamcast and was always checking it for rare stuff. Could go back 5 years or so earlier than that but just know how long I have known about it.

 

Yeah it's seemed to reach a threshold of notoriety. You can still get pretty good deals on stuff. But yeah there's some collectors watching it like a hawk now days. Myself included.

 

The EA console sitting on Ebay for a long time apparently sold for US $2,498.00. Feedback was left for it. I can't imagine the price for this console going any higher.

 

Was it the same console? I'm only assuming the winning bidder t********0 is tanman300 though.

 

It seems like it to me. I didn't save the pictures from GW but the rubber bands look exactly the same as the GW auction.

 

Seems completely incomprehensible to me - the only thing I would ever want to do with anything with an "EA" logo in it is to incinerate it.
