Hello, I have an Xbox Dev with an unpublished game and I would like to take out the information from the HD to an external memory. Is that possible? Can I add those files to another Xbox Dev for a security copy (backup)? thx
Why are you writing in black? My theme background is black. The hard drive is locked, so you'd need the HDD key from the EEPROM, or you could boot up XBMC, evolution X or a similar replacement dashboard, and use the in-built FTP server to connect and get the data off it.
Just use Xbox Neighborhood, connect and copy. Or use a debug version of any software with FTP. Of the top of my head, the XDK harddrives aren't locked anyway, but I could be wrong, been a while.
Try helping instead of looking for a handout What I like to do is simply patch Avalaunch to debug to gain ftp access, also DVT4 hdd's are not locked, its the DVT3's that are.
The simplest solution is to install xbox neighborhood, put in the ip (assuming all is networked correctly) and ftp into the xbox through xbox neighborhood. From there you go into e: (can't remember what the name of the drive is off hand) and just copy the files over to the computer, literally as simple as right click copy form console explorer window, then right click paste onto desktop or appropriate folder. You could also do the same thing with an xbmc, avalaunch, evox, or other application that will give you ftp access to the console. The only problem there is then you have to patch the xbe, or enable debug mode through the .ini file. Best of luck, Paint
