I dunno, I don't think the demo was that far off from the final game. It was just missing a lot of the intro bits that get the player up to speed on how things work.

That said, I did like the fact that the demo had a different title screen and a different first world than the full game. Made it feel like a bit of effort had gone specifically into the demo.

no kidding, almost everyone you see on forums, keeps bashing new Banjo just because they think it's not what they wanted or something,
buy it people, it's a fantastic game!

I really want it...since it's so cheap I'll have to pick it up next week. When does BK1 come out on XBLA?

BTW the NXE is fucking awesome. Hard drive installs rock so hard.

I got the Banjo for XBLA...Awesome stuff. A lot nicer then the N64 one obviously but I miss the controller sort of. The achievements look fun.

I would have, along with a few more games, but my replacement 360 was as bust on boot as the last one I sent off. I gave them a yell or two and demanded for an elite, considering I payed 400 euros to be an early adopter.

Alright, I played the game and also downloaded the trial of the original n64 title.

I have to stand firmly by my belief that the new Banjo game has left a ton to be desired. The graphics are there, the technology is there, the franchise is there, but the gameplay is far from what I expect from a Banjo game. Playing the original is as fun now as it was back in 1997 and I hate to say this but to me Rare fucked up with nuts and bolts - they should just have remade the original with HD graphics etc as they initially planned to do, if they were so buggered about making proper content.

The new banjo is not a bad game, it's just not a platformer. I love my legos but I like a sense of adventure, and despite the immensive worlds and detailed visuals I feel like I m trapped in a fucking minigame/workshop:S

I played an hour or so of the demo, seemed like a decent game to me. Not one I'd buy, but there was definitely something good going on in there. Then again I have no particular love for the original, so I probably have very different expectations.

I'm lovin' the XBLA version of Banjo. Rare did an awesome job imo.
