Banning

Just curious, why was it that Xenon 7 was banned? Is this like... China or something? Some censorship goin' on down here?

I mean honestly Assembler, I'm not trying to come off as rude here or anything, but it seems as though lately things have gotten a little too far, and you seem a little out of line. Xenon was one of the most contributing members to the Microsoft forum, and without him you will get useless answers and questions that will probably not get answered to correctly, or they'll simply remain unanswered.

 

The way I saw it, he was simply asking a question the same as I am asking now. I didn't see corruption in that topic or drama when I read through it at all. In fact, that thread that had the poll for the Microsoft forum had more drama in it than the thread he created.

My friend I respect your decisions, but I am quite bothered that scum like MTW(no matter what the reasons) is not banned, while Xenon was booted out on his ass for asking a legitimate question.

Even idc was not out of line with his comments.
I disagree with his comments and the rumors that he seemed to believe, but how and why wold we attempt to control the thoughts of our members.

Good job Assembler, with MTWong out of the picture it should be a bit more quiet in the MS section now. Unfortunate that he's still going off on people on Youtube, but what can you do...

See, this is the kind of thing I was talking about.

As a scientist, I base my opinion upon evidence. Sure, the story whole drama might have two sides, but so far, I've only heard Skitzo's, Old Engineer's and ProgrammingAce's. The admin team here just respond with bans and thread deletion.

Show me evidence to the contrary of what I stated in my posts in the Xenon.7 thread that was deleted and I'd be more willing to change my opinion.

For now, I have nothing more to say.

 

I'm not one to stick my head above the parapet but I am fed up with people on forums believing that just because they post they some how own the board. My belief is that this is Assembler's board, he maintains it, looks after it (which in no way is a small task) and we are guests who discuss relevant issues to which we are all interested. And whilst I'm on my hobby horse why do people hide behind the anonymity of their keyboard when on the internet, why can't they treat people as they would in real life? probably because they may come off the worse for wear. My 2p.
