Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown... I am curious though as to why it is when a person gets banned you go and change their name (e.g. MTWomg to Null2)? I can't see a purpose for it and it has the downside of making it difficult finding their previous posts which often are useful.
Understandable but it would be better to at least use something similar to the original name rather than something completely random.
Rules are rules! If you do not like the rules or cannot abide by them then you shouldn't post here. If you do not follow the rules then you have to deal with the consequences. I can't understand why it isn't that simple! Past grievances, 'scene' crap from other sites or personal problems have no bearing on anything here. Hawk is allowed to post as he has broken no rules whilst he has been HERE, anything else is irrelevant.
Im getting tired of the same thing. This isn't a scene forum and we really don't care about peoples scene related bitching on here. Personal problems with each other should be kept private or if you dont like the way we do things here then leave and post somewhere else.
I didn't register the domain, that wasn't my decision. I didn't ask skitzo to do it, but I'm not inclined to ask him not to. It is up to you to reason with him on that account. In any case, why should I bear shame? If the domain name in question had been redirected to Microsoft's site, would they bear shame instead? Furthermore, domain names are not copyrighted, they are trademarked in certain cases. A search of ipo.gov.uk shows that no trademarks containing the text "assemblergames" have been registered. If I've overlooked something, please advise. If linking to my own site in my sig is an issue, just ask me kindly and I'll remove the hotlink. I had the foresight to register available variations of my domain name in advance. Even so, I don't own every permutation, including the ".com" domain, but I don't see it as an issue. As for causing unrest, past actions and poor decisions amongst the moderators here caused the initial probems, and you're still suffering from that now. The only members who have ever been banned from my forum are spam bots. It's just the Chinese-style censorship I find a little uncomfortable. gamerfreak1727 has since been reprimanded for talking about non-gaming related subject matter in a thread entitled "Free voice thread.. say anything you want." It does, please understand that I have nothing against you, or anyone for that matter, as a person, even where other people might; but perhaps your refusal to talk a little more openly about these events is not the best stance to take since, as I mentioned previously, people will never get to hear your side of the story.[/quote] As you wish.
