Alright got it open today here are some pics... What is the switch for at the top and would it be bad to flip it?

It looks like that switch enables (dont quote me on this haha) some kind of saving feature, does Batman Forever use SRAM Saves???

Nevertheless Cool collectable, i love how acclaim used their own custom proto boards! :)

I wouldn't flip the switch. Chances are it will do nothing or make the cartridge not work.

Dump the EPROMs then flip the switch.

Looks interesting. Too bad it's such a terrible game (the retail version is, anyway).

Just because it's hoarded doesn't mean it hasn't been dumped. Obviously if it's dumped and released then it's unlikely to ever get lost but even if one person has a copy then it's possible for it to survive

As for the switch, it should be possible to figure out where it goes quite easily & that should give you an idea of it's purpose. It could be for something trivial like telling the cart what size rom it has.

Well sorry to come back to a old post but I flipped the switch (without dumping it first)....... and I don't think it did anything lol. Well I guess next up is to dump the game. I don't feel right pulling the eproms off the bored and risking messing something up. With my luck nothing will work again. Is there another way of dumping this game, or do I need to order a $100 item to dump one game. Could I make it my self lol

If you have a Sega CD you could make a transfer cable and dump it with that:

Though your computer would need a parallel port. It's probably the cheapest way to dump a game.
