Beast Wars PS2

Supposedly, a Beast Wars PS2 game was in the works at some point. Anyone have any information at all on it?

 

There were 2 transformers games one first named "Optimus Prime" became the Ps2 transformers game that came out
I have the first demo labeled Optimus Prime

 

I'll have to check around the apartment. I'm sure i had some pics of it that I could scan now that I know there is some interest.

 

I know there was a game specifically called Beast Wars, not the transformers game that came out. Optimus would be called Optimus Primal if it was beast wars There are no screens on IGN, but the listing for the game remains.

 

Your right I was thinking of the cancelled new game i have beast wars on pc tho

 

Yea, I know the PC one is around, not suppose to be the greatest game ever though lol. I just found out that there was a PS2 one by chance so

 

Ten years after the fact, I have to ask, anyone able to substantiate the rumour of a PS2 game?

Well I got a small bit of info from someone that worked on the N64 version (so maybe he would have known). The following was his response.

Beast Wars would have been awesome! I think I would want it to be a tournament fighter type.
