hi members i need a little help with something , my sister has come home for a bit as her engagement to her boyfriend has ended. She has a pair of Beats Audio Solo Wireless headphones and i managed to charge them with a USB Cable and PC.

what i was wondering can she charge them with her Mobile Phones charger ?. It is rated 5V 2A and has a USB Connector socket on it so i can buy her the right cable for her headphones (A Male to Micro-B Male)

    any help is appreciated

I can't be 100% sure about that model, but typically wireless headphones will charge from pretty much anything because they only draw a single unit load (100mA), so they don't have to negotiate anything.

If you are having difficulty getting it to charge, it's possible that the socket is bad - Beats have a nasty habit of using cheap low quality connectors that really have no place on products in that price range.

hi Mesh , when i charged them with a USB cable and PC it worked great. But my sister doesn't have a PC so i was thinking she could use her Mobile Phone charger. Also there is another socket on these headphones , would i be correct that it is a 3.5mm audio socket ?. She could use that to connect a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to her phone and listen to music.

    thanks for chiming in Mesh

OK, if it was charging OK then it should work on the phone charger too. It's just that if it's weird and intermittent then it's worth checking the plug.
