Ben makes some cool things. I really want to get his portable Neo Geo, and I own one of his portable SNES.
You're kidding, right? I mean sure it would be a fun novelty item, but you'd have to have an awful lot of disposable income to blow it on something like that. The thing's barely usable. Maybe if it had TV out and controller ports. He does do cool stuff, though. I wish I had access to the tools and materials he uses (oh, and the ability to use them) because I definitely have one or two similar projects that I'd like to try out. ...word is bondage...
Let me rephrase that: I'd love to have all six Metal Slug's in a portable form. As of right now I just have MS 1 and 2 for the NGCD emu for psp. As for his resources, I agree, there'd be tons of possibilities
Wow, didn't know Ben made a portable Neo Geo. Incredible. Thing must eat batteries like crazy though.
I actually agree with Sweater Fish Deluxe on this one. Just the cart alone is way too big, let alone the system. Still neat idea though. BTW, I have one of his portable 2600. I only own one 2600 game though....lol

I don't know, but that emoticon he used is the coolest I've ever seen. I'm against emoticons on principle, but that was a pretty cool one. It's like the evil Doshin or something. I can dig it. More people should use that. ...word is bondage...
I just read his description of the Neo Geo Portable for the first time and actually I see that it does have controller ports and RGB out, so it's at least useful for that. As useful as any other MVS conversion. He also says that it only draw about 600mA which is pretty good actually. I don't know the capacity of the battery he uses (it's a camcorder battery), but with that kind of draw the thing could easily get four or five hours off of a decent battery, which isn't bad considering. Hell, it's better than a Nomad. Still, though, as you say, the size is a killer. As is the design, it doesn't look like something you could really...hold. Not only that, but he doesn't seem to have any mechanism to keep the cart stable back there, and I know that at least the older MVS board have pretty loose cartridge slots (he used a newer board, the MVS-1C, though), so I'm not even sure it would really be playable as a portable. ...word is bondage...
That holds true for the SNES I got from him. I have to wedge a piece of plastic in there to keep it from constantly freezing and starting over.
Acording to those links he hates how everyone around him are always talking about World of Warcraft, and is against sony. So what?
