I've not actually picked any specific titles from the list yet, but I am reading all of the recommendations with great interest :)

As soon as life is back to normal I intend to hunt some of the titles down. Today I actually noticed "Einhander" in a cabinet at the local independent. Tempted, especially as it's the Japanese version and devoid of Britney Spears.

Does hunting down 2 Gundam titles for my System 245 arcade cab count?

Ore no Ryori for the PSX...
My personal favorite game to ever be released on the Playstation.

They had a demo of it on one of the Playstation Undergrounds. Everyonce and awhile they had demos for Japanese only releases. I remember Metal Slug and some Hamster game to be others.

But as soon as I played Ore no Ryori, I was in love!

In the game you are a begginer Chef and you must work your way up in the food chain. You have to make Burgers, Pour beer, Cut Vegetables, Make Sushi, Chase Burglers, Call The Police, Wash Dishes, and a Ton of other things. Its so much fun!

I have no Japanese PSX to play it on, but after years of searching I found it for sale and ripped it to my PC to play it on an Emu!
    AMAZING!

I concur! Ore no Ryouri is the shit, though you're really missing out when using an emulator, the game was clearly made with the Dualshock in mind...

oh and Parris: Einhander & Britney Spears? Wha?

Ore no Ryouri is awesome! I found it a little confusing at first, without being able to understand the language. Doesn't take very long to catch on though.

I think ePSXe supports dual analog sticks. Been awhile since I've used it so possibly wrong?

Well, yeah, if using a Dualshock through USB it's a different issue of course... I was imaging somebody playing Ore no Ryouri with the keyboard :S
