best method for cleaning cartridge pins?

    Yea, those kind of pencil erasers do wonders, and then afterwards you can q-tip+alcohol

    Faber-Castell are lovely for pencil sketches, but they leave horrible rubbery residue on contacts.

    What's the point of doing that then using the alcohol, when the alcohol on its own would have worked?

    For REALLY corroded ones, I sand the contacts with 3000 grit sand paper (basically like using paper, as it is so fine) perfectly. Basically removes a thin layer (probably 0.1mm) to show brand new contacts.

    Then, I use iso-propyl alcohol with a cotton bud (q-tip) :thumbsup:

    Cartridge slot basically shines in golden glory...
