Yes there is, Its called the Phoenix. Have a look over to http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/

I would only consider doing this to fix games that are dead. If they still work then its best to just replace the battery. The process involves hacking the rom chips so the game becomes less orignal.

Most of my CPS2 boards have been phoenixed. I prefer phoenixed boards to unphoenixed boards anyway, so I don't have to worry about them dying, or the battery leaking, etc.

sorry for the bump. If this is a fraction of your collection then I'd really love to see the rest. Also what's your favourite arcade stuff that you own?

Very nice collection. Wow, the shock boxes and artwork alone must have cost a fair bit!

Seriously heavy. Did you need to reinforce that shelf to take the bulk? 8 )

What are the blue and green things in the left of the picture?

I believe cps2 colour depends on the region it's from....or something like that.

    Green for Japan
    Blue for USA/Europe
    Orange for South America
    Gray for Asia
    Yellow for rental from Capcom
Black for the combined game and board

I have never seen a yellow one but there was a large batch of Mavel vs Capcom in orange on ebay last year. I think there is only a few titles in the black combo boxes.

No, I didn't need to reinforce the shelf. The blue and green things are Capcom CPS2 B-Boards, as someone else already pointed out.
