My shockbox collection. Most of it is Neo Geo MVS, but some are Sammy Atomiswave, IGS PGM, and Sega ST-V. This is only a fraction of my arcade cart collection

Very tasty. Jealous of the cotton 2 and NitD (full kit?) I have to say.

Do you have the kits boxes/art/dips/mms etc for all this lot too? (I'm guessing not given you show some kits..but perhaps you prefer the shockbox aesthetic and haven't got round to those yet)

Impressive collection. I only have a handful of MVS games, all of them in shockboxes as well. Where did you get the inserts made?

I only have about six MVS kits (they are the ones visible in the pics). I don't really like kits. I prefer to have a bare MVS cart in a shockbox to a kit. If I can get a kit a decent price, I will; but I wouldn't spend a lot more on a kit than I would on just the cart.

Great collection, all the games look in really nice condition!

How many Neo Geo MVS games were made in total?

I got all of my inserts and all the shockboxes (except for the red ones) from Southtown-homebrew.com. They do a great job, and Dan, the owner, is a very reputable person.

I have started collecting CPS2 games as well. The long term idea of changing lots of batteries is a little dipressing, but 100% worth it when playing.
My MVS collection is also growing, one day I hope to have a collection like that

MAME is an asshole if it comes to modern games (i.e. CD/GD/DVD-based), STV-like systems that aren't emulatorable yet and certain PCBs (ever tried to play Batsugun on MAME?). In fact, everything I ever got from trying out MAME was frustration which immediately vanished when I then finally had the real deal on the TV-screen.
