Mmmm, Sexy, and £125 is pretty good. I think the screen should be widescreen though and it seems to be a bit chunky. Might well pick one up still however...
Not if it was the same size as the one on the actual model, just with a bit extra on both sides. It'd also be better for movies
the only things i would have liked that's not on the system for now are usb host and a ''home'' button. otherwise it's perfect. ..and usb host will certainly be unlocked by the community. and psp screen is shit for emulation. Well, there's also the refresh rate problem, not only the 16:9 format.. EDIT: oh yeah, almost forgot, the guy working on a psx emulator for psp kicked is project on gp2x. :smt045 :drinkers:
eheh, sorry. who said it couldn't be done though? i mean, not XP, and not at that resolution...but why not? you can get windows 98 on psp. with only a cpu. as for linux on gpx2, it's already using linux, so it's more than probable that you'll be able to use some kind of desktop. Especially if you consider that some X environements for linux are very low on power consumation. Well, the Gp2x gui is a X environement already, but not a ''desktop'' environement, that's not the same thing.
Running windows XP with High Resolution on a Handheld? and everyone thought it was possible? It amazes me.. on the other side, like i said earlier, i'm pretty sure this thing will run a usable linux desktop pretty soon (not at that resolution though!) More ram and CPU power for homebrew than the psp....and the psp already have ports of linux and windows. The only thing now is that linux is already in the machine, in some way. Just hope you're still interested.

This looks very cool. Anyone here preorder one yet? I think I would pick the black unit, I'm not much for silver electronics. That is a good sign. I don't think I would want something like this based/running any Windows OS. Does anyone know what kernel this uses? Or what kind of features the version of linux that is being used here might have installed/configured? ^_^_^
