    pc connection is located in wilmington which is 10 miles from my house. never heard of them but what do they have to do with the drives?

    I have used an Adaptec PCMCIA SCSI card, a simple external SCSI drive enclosure and WinDD to backup for my old SCSI drives - i.e. the drive in my DC devbox.... plug and play :)

    Believe thats a model that SEGA recommended for use with DC dev kits, wager it's a good card. Friend used to use one as well, seemed rock hard stable. Worst case is you can't read the drives.

    2940 is a great card. It was used for either Saturn or Dreamcast. I don't see why it shouldn't work with your hard drives! What are they, 50 pin?

    Yes, the AHA-2940 is 50. The AHA-2940 Ulta Wide is 68 external, but the internal connector on either one can accept a 50-pin ribbon cable.

    Does the ribbon you have pictured fit the drives? If so, then they're 50-pin drives.

    Even if the files were erased, if you have time, you should run a scan on each of the drives to see if anything is recoverable. I recommend Restoration since it's free and does a pretty good job, but if you have a preferred application of your own, it should work fine.

    Hopefully the drives were kept in a temperature controlled area.
