Man. It's all going on in the RE scene at the moment.

10 pages of comments already - guessing it's not an April Fools.

one german guy love euros for too much - he sold too many of bh isos to randoms and finally everyone who paid for them are "not pleased" at the moment.

I'm trying hard to muster up some sympathy for people who bought raw data and expected it not to be shared. So now everyone has access to the data you kept to yourself? Boo hoo. You still have the files. If it takes away from your enjoyment that other people have it too then it sounds like you're more interested in maintaining your super secret club than the interest and value of the game itself.

I'm ready to pay some hundreds of $$$ for stuff like this in case if this stuff goes privately to me but i'm ready to give not more than 20$-35$ to see any stuff(which i don't have) shared.

I prefer now to wait around year and not buy re betas - maybe some of them will be shared, like re 4 test map or re public betas or re e3 version.I don't want to spend money for free stuff. Maybe mister "Anonymous" will share more stuff.

This stuff is still very interesting and valuable for me. No more biohazard survival horror games come.

Main problem is that if some other interesting biohazard resident evil stuff exists - people will prefer to hide it from everyone than to sell even for good price. So from this point of view this situation is "some steps back".

This is how I see it for most things like this.

BTW, has anyone gotten the new full/debug release working? It freezes my PS2 Test after the PS1 bios before the Capcom logo.

This release means that Resident Evil collectors now dislike money? I see.

It's "some steps back" for you because you paid for something that's now freely available. It's many steps forward for the rest of us.

This is a great time for fans of the old RE's.

Fortunately, there are also those who're not only willing to, but also very much capable of paying "hundreds of $$$" for the benefit of many, rather than only themselves. Of course, sometimes gotta wonder if the money might've been better spent on some other charities, rather than just releasing unreleased game content to the "people"...

Surely someone should find themselves able to conjure something else of interest to toss your way. After all, you've got a good few nice titles over the years and I don't see how that'd stop (unless the world suddenly ran out of interesting stuff)

Sorry to revive an old topic, but I've been searching for a dump of this iso for some time now. The downloads on Hp no longer work as some of you know, and the megaupload link that was floating around... doesn't either for obvious reasons. Here comes the Register to find download link plead: Does anyone have a new link for either of the Biohazard 1 Alphas?

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers thanks a lot mate!

Debug build? Not sure about that, underneath the forum title it says : "Prototypes, Art and More. Legal Files only Please" perhaps not?

If the game content varies so much from final that they're clearly distinguishable from one another, i.e extensive debug options, and it didn't come from a retail disc, they're allowed to be posted.

The debug build is a late beta of the game so it's somewhat similar to the final release. None of the content came from a retail disc and there are many debugging functions. I'm assuming that it's not okay since it's similar to the final release, correct? If so I'll remove the link.

Like I said, debug builds are fine. So long as its not a 1-1 copy of a retail, like some review copies are, you are fine.
