The workers never deserve the shit that happens to them. Maybe the business owners and a few execs, but just because you work for Walmart doesn't mean you deserve harassment.
"The Earth is degenerating these days. Bribery and corruption abound. Children no longer mind their parents, every man wants to write a book, and it is evident that the end of the world is fast approaching." - Assyrian Stone Tablet, c.2800 BC
Yeah, you have to be a sick person to take "joy" in the fact that someone who worked at Wal-Mart got trampled to death.
The Dark Ages is a really a bit of a misnomer. It's not so much that all progress, science and learning ceased. Just that we have very little records from the time, compared to that of the earlier pre-collapse Roman period. Saxon England was a place where learning, art and literature flourished. People's lives would of course have been a good deal less comfortable than they are now, without any of our modern conveniences, but people were by no means ignorant. Sorry to trail off the topic at hand.
I was not implying that they were all ignorant. Rather that the likelyhood of there being a higher percentage of scholarly educated people during that period is a bit doubtful. The original claim was that the world is doomed because our base population is stupid when compared to other periods such as the dark ages.
