I have for sale a used Blackmagic Intensity HDMI editing card. This is the Intensity not intensity pro. It will come with everything shown and a 12' (I think) HDMI cable. It has not been abused, or even used that much.

    Here are some quality tests.

does this do realtime capture? eg can I use it to capture a run through of a PS3 game, is there any lag from button press to display?

  3. Just curious - what's the difference between the Intensity Pro and the Intensity?

The Pro has a breakout cable and can do the composite. Intensity can just do HDMI.

And I currently don't have a HDTV so you could play and record at the same time with a little delay. Thats how I recoreded all of my videos.

Im not sure if the PS3 would have issues with this because of the HDCP. This does not record non secure blah blah blah. Something or another read up on it.

Can this be used as a HDTV for a computer? Not a tuner, just show whatever it gets as hdmi as a fullscreen image?

MY HDTV broke, so if I can use my pc as a tv for now I think we can work a deal.

  6. I'd imagine you could. With my old capture card you could do exactly what you're talking about - but the quality wasn't the greatest and the video and audio weren't exactly in sync, but then again it was a cheap $25 capture card off Amazon

Assembler, most likely not, unless your DVR/Cable Box doesnt have HDCP. I know mine here required HDCP, so the Intensity wont work without an HDCP stripper.

I use the intensity pro version and it's not exactly fullscreen. The software that comes with it doesn't display the images at full HD (it crops it somehwhat when using it in realtime). All grabs and movies record in full res, it's just that you can't view things live in full HD res (but it's not too far off tbh).

The only other thing is that you can't capture PS3 HDMI game footage due to the HDCP encryption. That's why the Pro version is better as the component signal is analogue and can be recorded with no problems. :)

Ah ok thanks. I have a DVI-D monitor, so a normal TV tuner box won't work.
I guess I will have to buy a new TV instead.

Assembler: Actually you could just get an HDFury adapter from Monoprice. It'll strip the HDCP out and even let you use the VGA (practically speaking the picture will be every bit as clear as HDMI) so you can have your pc and gaming system connected at once.
