    Yeah, its true.
I don't know how kickstarter works, but it has some way to make sure he does not simply disappear with the money without publishing the game?

    No, it really doesn't.

Also isn't this "game" like 10 years old?

From reading the page, if true, this guy has serious issues and probably should put the kickstarter money towards therapy.

If you really think a game made by someone who wants $10,000 to build himself a van to live in is going to be good or ever going to be released, I don't know what to say.

The latest demo consists of a character in a room, goes to the toilet, sleeps - gets up - stands in an elevator for 10 minutes (well, 5) and then plays Tetris for another 5 minutes.

I'm not seeing much of 'Bob's Game' in that demo, just a whole lot of Tetris.

Not sure what to think to be honest, I hope he does finish it and that it's a lot more than we've been shown.

well, the game was first made for the gba. then converted to the ds, and then to the PC. It is normal that it is increasingly outdated.
What I think is: how crazy would be to play a game done by someone who is considered insane by society, and who fought against Nintendo itself?

it may seem egocentric, but seeing for a different point of view, it also seems to be a guy trying to realize his dream.

Interesting...I dont think he FINISHED it for the GBA, he started development in mid-2003 and then when the DS came out he started converting it to the DS

He's not "insane" he just likes attention, is awkward, has willpower but needs more focus. Quoting from his site: " I wet the bed until about age 8, I think- a major sign of psychopathy." Ha ha there's no reason to say that unless you want to seem edgy but don't know how to socialize well.
