For the love of everything decent, can we set fire to the Backbone HQ and everone in it...

They left so many bugs in Bomberman Ultra that it ruined the game. Also, it just shouts incomplete and quick finish (low resolution 720p, stereo sound only, too many bugs too mention some so serious the PS3 crashes, playfield viewpoint must be set again every round because it does not remember, retarted online battle implementation, etc.

I downloaded the preview of PS3 Marvel vs. Capcom 2, conversion done by Backbone, and sure enough it sucks ass. Backbone shuffles conversions without really having heart for what they are doing. It shows in their products.

Having played both the Gamecube and the PS2 versions. I thought the gamecube played slightly better.

You do realize that a majority of PS3 games are in 720p? Kinda odd to bag on a game for being rendered in that resolution.

As for the sound, does Bomberman really need full-on, environmental surround sound?

The only reasonable excuse for 720p is that currently the hardware cannot render 3D in 1080p at a proper framerate. Bomberman however is not a graphically demanding game. It's 2D and thus should be rendered in 1080p.

It's just lack of polishing. It shouts "we don't care" to your customers. Besides, even the Wii Bombermans (not developed by Backbone, but in Japan) has ProLogic surround.

Seems as if I've been wrong... at least the new Bonk is not developed by Backbone, but by Pi Studios...
