    I don't think it's original.

It's possible it is real. Remember that the Super 32X is actually rarer than the Mega Drive 32X and the Genesis 32X. A used one is usually a hundred or so dollars. If you want a 32X for a Japanese Mega Drive, an American 32X will work as a Japanese one if used in a Japanese Mega Drive. The Genesis 32X is the exact same as the Super 32X minus the case. Do note that putting the American 32X in a Japanese MD will make it only play Japanese Super 32X and Japanese MD games. It will prevent American games from working due to the language on the MD being set to Japanese.

I'd buy it even if it's a clone. If I had the dollars :p

Care to elaborate? You think it's a US/PAL model rebranded with the Japanese markings and a new reproduction box w/ manuals? What makes you think this is fake, to me the item looks legit.

Wombat this is store is quite famous many people buy things cheap there from China. They sell directly from factory.. offices are located in China and HK. This website sells 99% of the products brand new and made in China not imports or any kind of it. The seller is honest but they don't have to know if the item is legit or not.. people who are responsible for selling barely speaks english

I would say it's a very good replication box and a clone system, maybe.. maybe the manuals were printed from pdf files

They sell some other games they claim to be official from US so some people posted their comments regarding the legitimacy. Can it be real? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...sion-cartridge-manual/604594_32327857420.html

I don't know.. it's hard to me to say but I would not buy the 32x

Looks legit to me. There was never any clone hardware for 32X so at the very least that part is legit, and I can't imagine it being worth it to replicate the box and contents to such a high degree of accuracy. It's most likely NOS.

Whoa man. They sell Samsung Galaxy S2 there too. But it's 100% legit. For example.
And you really can not compare a repro cart to a previously uncloned console.
Also they don't claim that the carts are legit. If you ask them in pm they'll tell you it's a copy.

    Ah, ok then.
I'm not interested in 32X yet BUT I wonder: was this box sealed for all those years? It's cheap if that's the case.. they could sell this in other places in China for more than that

MonkeyBoyJoe said above that ntsc-j 32x is compatible with ntsc-u genesis and games but not with eu mega drive or eu 32x games.

Thanks. Well after looking pictures on the internet this one looks legit I'm still not 100% sure. I would never expect this stuff on that website though. Great finding.

It is compatible with American games but only if you insert it in an American Genesis. The system is region locked but the region is controlled by the MD itself and a single jumper on the 32X main board, which controls 50/60Hz.

If your Genesis/MD is set to Japanese/60Hz, the Japanese 32X will play Japanese games, but not American games.
If your Genesis/MD is set to English/60Hz, it will play American games but not Japanese games.

It will not work on a PAL Asian (Japanese/50Hz) Mega Drive or a PAL European (English/50Hz) Mega Drive without an easy modification.

This is a legit Super 32X. It is most likely New-Old-Stock as mentioned above. I've purchased things from eBay before that were in fact NOS and they are legit products. Too bad it doesn't include an RGB cable or at the very least a stereo composite AV cable. You would need a stereo patch cable for the model 1 though.

Just noticed this. Could this be like with those asian pal Mega Drive 2s? Where a whole warehouse was "uncovered" of them?

Could be. I've never seen a clone 32X before so that's why I believe this is real.

Due to the hardware complexity, there is absolutely 0% of chance that 32x are falsified/counterfeit.

It could be a "refurbished" unit, though.

Here in Brazil some bad shops were selling refurbished Nintendo DS and PSP units as if they were new. Sad stuff.
