Like yakumo said, it's just the Japanese Sega 32X. On the hardware side, it's the exact same as a Genesis 32X. The only difference comes from which system you put it in. If you slap it on top of a Genesis, it will play American 32X games but not Japanese 32X games. If you put it in a Japanese Mega Drive, it will play Japanese 32X games but not American 32X games. While it will work on a PAL Mega Drive for PAL MD games, it won't play PAL MD 32X games without an easy mod.
unless you hex edit the rom!!!!!! trust me this is the last piece i need for my set-up, i have a genesis 32x, but it just doesn't mesh with the MD and Mega CD IMHO. i just cant justify 300 for it!!!
Looks legit to me, matches both my NTSC J Super 32X's. Instructions look correct along with the warranty card. Basic video lead, but no sign of the RF plates.
I was talking about retail carts that can't be patched lol. Worst case scenario you could always post a WTB for one or just the top shell.
That sucks. I wonder how rare these things are? If you really want one and can't find one, you can always just print out a piece of paper with the logo on it and tape it over the Genesis 32X label lol.
