    Hello AssemblerGames - Community.
Recently I decided to play a couple of SNES games and the most convenient way of doing this was by using an good emulator. "Just get the games you own off the net, easy as that" I thought but all I've found were suspicious looking websites which I really didn't want to use even if they were free of malware.
I wanted to go the extra mile and get a dumper and dump the games by myself for personal use. I searched a bit and found some interesting stuff, unfortunately quite expensive (for me at least) so I had the idea of building my own dumper.

This might sound crazy especially if you think about, that in the beginning, I just wanted to play some games but I like the idea of attacking this project.
So far I've only made few experiences with electronics and programming.
Sure, SNES-dumper have been around for decades and I could just raise some money and buy one or jump over my shadow and use one of these suspicious looking websites but in the end it is really about me learning and building something and I guess I'm in the right forum with this attitude.

Long story short, I'm not looking for a step-to-step guide on how to build a SNES-dumper (if such a tutorial even exist) but I'm looking for ressources, stuff I should read to build a fundamental understanding of how dumper work, how SNES roms work etc.
This request seems quite vague but I hope you get what I mean :)

    Thanks in advance
