Hi everyone, I got the chance to check out Burnout 5 recently, and made a short clip. You can tell it is pretty early, but you can tell that it still resembles the final Burnout Paradise pretty well. http://ptoponline.com/?p=328
Burnout is awesome! I remember renting Burnout 1 and 2 from Video Ezy for the PS2 years ago. Good fun and they have kept their gameplay intact with a great soundtrack to follow.
Apparently you've never played Paradise. They completely changed the gameplay and it's an awful game. Burnout 3 is one of my favorite arcade racers, which makes it even more painful. This early build shows that the crappy open world was something they planned early on...
Paradise is horrible, completely agree with you 7Force, the free roam open road races always piss me off... Which ruined Midnight Club series for me too.
Burnout 3 Takedown is the best in the series indeed. That game is so much fun! Anyway, thanks Borman for sharing that video. Always nice to see early development stuff.
EA pulled the video on me. Go figure. Technically it represents fair use, but Id never be able to defend it. Ill come up with another way.
burnout 3 takedown, is really good, but i like the way paradise is too. true its not really a arcade game anymore, but it isnt bad
In Japan we don't even have the fair use rule. I had King Records pull one of my Retro Core shows because it featured Magic Knight Rayearth and they own the copyright to the opening music. The video is banned in Japan. Bloody stupid that is. Warner Music stuck an add next to one of my videos due to a track featured on it for 40 seconds. The video is still viewable everywhere though. Fair enough I guess.
The hardest thing is that I do everything in 720p. I can't stream that from my site. Ill find a way though.
Dude that blows ass... But, how do Doujin makers(Comics and video game remixes) get by without getting their asses sued constantly then?
Who knows. Maybe because it's remixed or altered they can get away with it. I had another Japanese TV company get all pissy over my Saturn MPEG video because I showed Monkey on it. Japanese TV stations have a bloody cheek. they are always using copyrighted music and sound effects from games and TV and I bet they don't have permission either. They're used way too often.
What a coincidence I just started playing Burnout Paradise again, as always thanks for sharing and keep it up! edit would you consider another live stream session?
Ive got multiple avenues to pursue, I just dont have the time to deal with it right now. Like I said, what they did was illegal in itself, but there isnt much that I can do.
