How about w/ bare knuckles? Unless you can tell Irish people from non-Irish, I would suggest keeping comments to yourself. Friend of mine broke some cock's nose (most likely a guy that grew up in the states...bilingual Japanese) in Shinjuku station on a Sunday of all places, after the guy insisted on buying my friend's ticket since, "he couldn't read the characters".

Politeness didn't work. Threatening with violence didn't work. Smashing his nose w/ his elbow did. Two other guys jumped him. A third, older guy intervened, broke him loose, and told him to run. Crazy fucker that Irish guy. Wasn't the only time trouble found him, either. Hopefully that asshole learned his lesson... don't mess w/ people that eat potatoes by the dozen.

I'm pretty sure he was trying to see how quickly he could get banned without specifically insulting anyone (other than himself).

And yeah, other than some good info on visa's, Debito is a bit of a donut. I have far better things to do w/ my time than go to establishments that I know don't want me. It's not like white people in Japan don't have it 10x easier than anyone else (Japanese included).

I noticed that guy sounding like an asshole and I really wanted to say something to him, but I figured it was a lost cause, because he was more than likely Japanese, and no one here would say anything to him and start defending him, acting like I was the oppressive one. Its happened before...

But his getting banned reaffirmed my faith in the site.

Before anyone thinks I'm just bitching about what I just said, ID-Republix said much, much worse things in the past (compared to this guy) and instigated and prolonged several flamewars, and would only get a slap on the wrist. When he got in a car wreck, though unfortunate, there were a LOT less flamewars around here.

Things are a lot tighter these days. An arse hole free forum is a happy one. About if that guy was Japanese, I don't think anyone would have stood up for him at all. He really was an arse. No matter the nationality, if you're trouble you're out :nod:

If he was Japanese, he was educated abroad. Even Japanese that go to American schools don't turn out like him. I have a friend that went to fucking military school in the US and couldn't be as big of a prick as that guy if he wanted to.

 

I think he deserved to be banned for what he said in this thread, and at most a warning in Cactusjacks thread.

I was thinking it was either: Regalsin, Sobman, or J21TK. Or possibly Skitzo even. Theres actually a lot of prime suspects on this one, because many people around here have reasons to hate the place, even if they are childish ones.
