There's a VGA cable that exits for PS2, however there aren't many compatible games .

Using VGA is possible through a VGA box I guess...

PS: I thought Net Yaroses were the only PSXs able to output both PAL and NTSC, so couldn't you just use a standard component cable?

I know retail and debug models can't do this though.

You won't find a VGA cable for your Playstation, nor any simple cable that can do that. For the PS2 there are ways, but it's... complicated. I can talk you through it on MSN or whatever if you want.

PS1 outputs RGB ONLY. Component is in PS2 and PS3.

Some TVs "might" accept 15khz RGB through the VGA port. Others may not. I tried it with my Capcom CPS2 board and it didn't like it on my Samsung. However it did work on a Gateway monitor I used to have.

Since you have a debugger system, I recommend just downloading a PAL game (or demo disc or any PAL program) and loading it and just trying. Surely you have a CD-R you can spare to test. You could see if just hooked up with your Composite or S-Video cables if it will display properly on your setup before looking for a RGB cable.

Been working a ton of overtime at work, tried it on my tiny old 13" CRT tv and it didn't work at all, however I think it will work on my Bravia, I'll try it tonight when I get home.

My Bravia also has a VGA/RGB input, so if it doesn't work with RCA, I'll probably run to RadioShack and get the stuff to make a VGA cable for my Playstation and see if it works that way, but I think the VGA port on my TV can do 50Mhz, I just need to figure the pin configuration on the playstation cable display port.

The real question is whether it supports 15.6kHz RGB in the first place. Chance are it won't, unfortunately. What model is your TV?

(Edit for clarity: PAL-territory RGB will be 50Hz, as in 50 frames per second.)
