"RARE Torn Label 100% Authentic Adult Owned" Did someone create the header using a random word generator? And sheesh, that cart is battle worn! :/
Damn, that looks beaten up... <rant>Heard first about these carts more than 12 years ago I think and still don't see the value people are giving it. What is this hype around these? Any real prototype is much more rare than this piece of crap, seriously. Also, "World Championships" with only the United States participating, awesome.</rant>
It is rare, but I wouldn't throw 5 grand at it. I think Pat paid 15 grand or something for the gold one... He keeps them at the bank too... sheesh.
Items like this the top end price is limited by the income bracket of the audience. So if you buy it at 10k, 20 years later it could still be the same price with inflation.
Anyone see the video by AVGN about him finding a gold version in a NES game collection lot? Supposedly paid dirt cheap for it and the gold cart was legit. I doubt if it was dirt cheap. No one in real life gets that lucky. Especially since Pat the NES Punk paid over 15 grand for his grey cart.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...jackpot-winner-unemployed-woman-Strabane.html ? While its unlikely, lucky things do happen against the odds.
You completely missed the metaphor there. By "no one in real life gets that lucky" I was saying "that's unlikely enough to not happen very often at all". It's an American expression I do believe...
You realize that story about him finding that for cheap off Ebay was fake right? The carts were real, Pat owns both the carts, but the story was fake and just made for the video.
Yeah, watch the video again and look at the address on the box he is holding. lol I guess someone could make a repro label for that cart on Ebay. :/
Are you guys keeping an eye on this? At time of writing it's at $90,600! Seem like legit bids as well.
That's crazy. I wouldn't even pay the initial asking price seeing how the sticker is virtually non-existent.
This will be the most valued auction for a single video game cartridge in history. Air Raid sold for 31,600 so this beats it by far.
I'm expecting that anyone who bids on it will stand a good chance of receiving a second chance offer though.
Exactly right! I was bidding on the SEGA Pluto and and My high bid was 8 grand. It finished almost double that. That means nobody else above my bid did not want it. Something is funny here! I feel it is his friends pumping it up intill they get a real legit buyer. I cant see anyone paying that much with no label! If you offered 50 grand to PAT I bet he would have took it. But almost 100k in totally insane! That is like trading a house for it! But on the flip side of the coin I bet the seller is happy
