I dont understand why people are raising the price for themselves by bidding so far ahead of the auction end. Maybe they dont care and value 100k like we do our loose change, but objectively speaking it is still a lot of money.
This is insane. Anyone who's done any research into the value of the NWC grey carts knows that they're worth maybe $15,000 in the best of condition.
I bet these bidders are toying the seller for a joke. Not even rich people would buy this crap as far I concern.
Dang... I wouldn't have thought something like that would sold for that much, really? though thats a lot of money for something in that condition. I would expect someone pay that much for it with the label or something but with no label it seems pretty dumb to invest that much money on that.
If someone pays 100 grand for it tell them I have the rights to sell the brooklyn bridge! They are pumping it up and hoping that someone will grab it on the second chance offer. That happened to me on the sega Pluto. It was well above my high bid and I got the second chance offer! The ebay fees alone are gonna be stupid high!
there was like 50 bid retractions so I'd say it's fake. Guess the storage wars guys will find a Mario bros/duck hunt cart now and claim it to be worth 100K
I'm no expert, but we've all followed these NWC cart sales over the years and... yeah... $15,000 tops - in mint condition. This auction just doesn't make any sense - it certainly isn't worth anywhere close to $100,000 - not even half.
Actually what he said about a NES selling for $13k was true............but it came with a NTSC copy of Stadium Events so that might have had something to do with it. lol
