I have three 2TB chipped Xbox's all with different setups. One setup I have, I like the best and wanted to put into my sons. If I use a cloner like shown below will it actually clone the HD I like, xbox format and all? I was looking for an easier way to share then having to wipe his clean and then FTPing the new setup into his, then changing settings etc etc
Depends on how the cloner works, if it copies the raw bytes then it should work, but if it tries to understand the filesystem in any way it will fail as almost nothing understands fatx
Thanks, I’ll try and see if they make an affordable one that does raw bytes. Unless someone has any recommendations?
Plug hdd into a pc, use hdd raw copy tool from Windows. Dd from Linux, but I'm going to assume you aren't using that. If you don't want to open pc or using a laptop, get a usb ide or data adapter. Hard drive must be unlocked and the new drive needs to be identical size or larger. I did this recently as someone wanted 5 identical xboxes, so bought 5 identical drives and copied this way, as it's much faster than uploading it all via ftp.
