PAL Saturn and PAL PlayStation cases are just crap. They break far too fast and you can't replace them very easily. But anyway, it seems like I am the only one who actually likes US Saturn cases? I like all the longbox-games. It looks cleaner than any other case (except normal cd cases of course) if the case is in mint condition and they fit very good in my shelfs.
I really like the PSP case size, and the pretty little UMD discs, but seriously, whose idea was it to put the holding tabs in such a place that you almost have to touch the disc on it's only unprotected part just to get them out? The Neo Geo Pocket cases were great plastic clamshell types in some territories and crap cardboard in other areas? Why was that???
Those bubble type packaging is the worst. You need either a pair of metal cutters, several exacto knives, or honestly, a heat gun, or plastic cutting gun to open the dammed things. I still have scars on my knuckles/hands from trying to open them Early style ps1 cases(the cardboard ones, not plastic) were pretty cool actually, only downside was that at the time they didnt really fit in any kind of stand Gameboy advance cases, and for that matter, any cardboard case were shite. I've bought and seen to many times, when the game i've just bought, has a horribly flattened/destroyed box... The US ds cases, are perhaps, the apex of all case designs Ryan
I'm with Ryan here. I find Early PSX cases to be extremely elegant for the time. The newer jewel cases broke too easily, especially when they used thick ones for 1-CD games, like ThunderForce V, Alundra, Vandal Hearts, Wild Arms, and such.
