So here' a quick rundown. I'm a huge Castlevania enthusiast (finished all of the GBA/DS Games). Bought this game yesterday at around 5/6 in the afternoon. Note that I have only played Single Player (Xbox Silver Account). Game is absolutely stunning and engaging, presentation, soundtrack are fabulous and loot collecting is very addicting. Before I knew, I have finished the game...at around 6 in the morning, that's how gripping it is. Last form of the last boss is no joke if you're going alone (last incarnation), it wasn't in Rondo of Blood nor SOTN (flashback). So yeah, as a single player game (and I assume multiplayer) game shines, don't let some of the reviews discourage you, it's a robust adventure game that has whole lot of replayability that made other Castlevania games so enjoyable to go through multiple times. Recommended!
Why is it bad for him? Surely, it's worse for you as you've just admitted to the forum that you're a scab!
It does look good! I've heard good things! and I've heard some of the soundtrack and it's Rad. Wish it was on PSN though
I don't know. Looks like a bloody mess to me from the promotion video. I'll download and try the demo first though before I make my judgement.
I heard it's a gigantic, gay, hunk of 4-player co-op mess. Let me know if that's like 5 false reports.
Even I don't obtain my 360 games this way The Demo is just sitting on my 360 screaming at me to stop playing Deathsmiles long enough to give it a try.
Deathsmiles is pretty awesome. So, I have a question about Castlevania HD that isn't answered in the demo. Does each character play like their DS counterpart? (IE: Soma using souls and Charlotte using spells.)
Well, Played it last night and must say it's not what I want. A right mess of a game with off difficulty levels. Why can't we have a real HD remake of a classic Castlevania game like the Wii got. I'm disappointed Yakumo
Absolutely, out of five characters they all differ. Soma collects souls, Alucard is well versed, Jonathan Morris can learn Martial Arts, etc... Are you prefer Wii mediocre remake to this masterpiece? oh brother, some taste... This is as close as it gets to classic Castlevania and SOTN, levels are quite big, there is a plenty of challenge and replay value, collecting is highly addictive and keeps you going - each character has a different way of playing (look above) so possibilities are endless. There are 6 castles/dungeons, they are all quite huge. Looks and sounds great. Not to mention I suspect our DLC will contain new level - Pyramid from Portrait of Ruin, I think so because upon thoroughly checking music section in the game, there is a track from that level but this level is not included. Maybe we're gonna get even new character. So there you go, stick with it and it should definitely grow on you, btw have you played single or co-op?
probably in future if this one sells well enough, but you shouldn't wait, game controls great with analog stick on 360
I bought the game tonight...it's very WTF. Although I also Got After Burner Climax so I would assume alot of games would seem WTF after that chunk of rare Sega Awesomeness.
Hmm, maybe I'll give this a shot. As for this appearing on PSN, I wouldn't expect it to any time soon. All of the Summer of Arcade stuff is "exclusive" to Xbox Live. I'm sure it'll come, but you might have to wait six months.
I want this so bad, and it wasn't available in Latin America last time I checked. God damn it, Microsoft. Where's the Ñ love?
No joke. I don't have nor really want a 360.Guess I'll just have to wait for Lords of Shadow!
I decided to pick this up. It's pretty fun multiplayer. There's some light co-op stuff in parts of the map which are pretty cool and can accessing secret areas, or alternate ways to take out bosses. The real appeal of game is finding loot.
