nice. At first I didn't like the cel-shading with Wind Waker, but it grew on me. It's interesting to see it done with other games. Not sure I'd like to play them all like that, but it's cool to see the difference.
Oh god, don't let Nintendo see a cel-shaded Metroid! It's bad enough they mutilated it into an FPS...
I didn't like the idea initialy of a fps metroid, but after playing I found that my worries were misguided. The games very good, but you have to stop thinking 'I wish this was a side scroller' in order to appreciate it.
That's pretty awesome. I must admit the cel shading kinda grew on me as well. Now I think the new Twilight Princess looks "off". I dunno. What I'd really like to see is another cell shaded adventure, but don't make it so "childish". The style was great but it was such a stark contrast from what everyone was expecting (thanks to that one E3 Gamecube tech demo video). I think if Miyamoto went with another dark atmosphere like OoT and TP but gave it a more contemporary cell shaded look (like the new Musashi) it would seriously kick ass. Anyway, those are my two cents.
No matter how much I tried, I just couldn't. The proper 2D GBA versions didn't help make this any easier either.
i think thats just a hi-res texture pack made to look more like the windwalker game. i dont think its cell-shading.
Not sure if there's a download or not. It's not finished either way, so I'm waiting. I'm in the middle of Master Quest anyway.
would be nice if nintendo could redo oot and m'sm in high rez and with more polygons as part of the bonus disk for tp.
I think the logical course of action as far as Realistic vs Cel-Shaded for Zelda, would be for Nintendo to split the storyline, do games involving real link in Realistic style, and ones involving not so real link (the WW type bod) in Cel-Shaded, one of each per gen would be nice... ^_^
This is pretty old, there's a thread here even, this is the first place i saw this some months back. If there's been no advance since, it's a fair bet this project is dead.
It's really hard to believe that, seeing the horrible holes in any sort of plot coherancy that OOT brought on. According to Nintendo, every XX number of years there is a new peril in Hyrule and a hero in green named Link with a girly voice appears and blah blah blah... Nintendo's written themselves into a corner ever since Ocarina Of Time, and their attempts at stringing everything along are just laughable anymore.
