I'm looking for a cheap US Wii. The case can be scartched or marked, I don't care but the unit must be in 100% perfect working order. I also don't need any power cables, video cables or remotes since I can just use my Japanese ones.

Please PM me if you have one to sell. Oh and shipping cost to Japan too please.

Nintendo is lowering the price of the Wii in the U.S. from $250 to $200 effective September 27th. I'm sure by that time, you can find a second-hand base unit for $100. It's just my estimate.. though I don't know how long you can wait. There are now lots of Wii units out there in the world, so you can probably find one on the cheap regardless.

Right now where I work we have the console only for $160, I imagine that when the price drop hits those will maybe drop to around $120 or so. If you haven't found one by then let me know, and I could get you one.

It'S hard to beleive that it'S still so expensive in the US. I would have though it would be cheaper by now for a used console only.

If you want US games, why not just flash/chip it?

I think this had to do with the issue he had with the beatles game not displaying graphics properly.

As for used wiis in the U.S. not being cheap, any current system even used its always like that. Only way to get something like that real cheap in the us is to know someone at a pawn shop.

As for changing it fully to U.S., he will run into the same issue with Japanese games, in some cases displaying gibberish if it uses the bios font.

Honestly, get a harddrive and load games onto that, or use something other then the Gecko loader. Ive had minimal issues with either

What else is there to load imports on a Wii? Gecko is the only thing isn't it? Everything works fine apart from the Beatles. Text issues don't really bother me since the game is still fully playable but I want to access the store which isn't possible on a Japanese Wii. I could region mod it but then I run the risk of bricking it and still no 100% chance that I can access the RockBand store.
