stop shaking your head like it's a SAD American issue Yak...it's funny! In a tiny country like Japan I'm sure animals have made their way to the streets.
I've lived all over the world...Australia, Suriname, Greece, Iceland, Russia, Sweden, but I currently live in the little state of Tennessee in the US. btw...earlier was just a comment...Everyone here is really cool ,especially Yak, and didn't mean to start anything....my travels have shown so much anti "insert country" sentiment (especially the US) that I'm sometimes unfortunately quick to jump. I realize that Yakumo didn't mean anything now. Sometimes I carry over mood from another board with heated discussions and misinterperet comments on this one. btw again...california is a very different state. But FUN.
no, not in trouble. He was confused as to why Kstyle25 and myself share an IP. Jason is my little bro and I'm staying at his place till he and his wife get back this summer. I didn't mean to cause any confusion. Must have been strange to hear such an obviously smart individual using Jasons account!:smt082
Err... reading the article, it doesn't seem as ridiculous as the sensational headline made it out to be. Chicken runs around on road -> violates California law barring livestock on roadways -> owners get fined -> judge throws fine out as the chicken was a domesticated pet and not technically livestock -> newspaper reporter gets funny idea, "HUR HUR HUR I MAKE BRILLIANT SOCIAL COMMENTARY ABOUT AMERICA AND TWIST FACTS SO CHICKEN GET FINE! ME SO FUNNY!" -> article released on internet -> people read article headline only and think, "Haha, stupid Americans. They give tickets to animals. Obviously, they are the inferior variety of human beings." Simple.
Oh yes, totally true. But I love living here. Sure, it's noisy, dirty, smog, gangs, arrogant rockstars, and plus everybody thinks they're some kind of important actor person and thus are shallow and obsessed with thier appearance, but somehow without those things I don't think it would feel quite like home. One thing I noticed is in the rest of the nation, people actually look at you and say "Hello" when you walk by. That creeped me out the first time I encountered it. It was like, this stranger, trying to like, talk to me. Weird I tell you.
