Dear friend I looking for a Chihiro Development kit, do you know how to find it, Need Xbox Dev kit? XDK xbox or a specific XDK? How to find XDK ? For the test, can I connect Xbox dev kit and Chihiro DIMM with SCSI or ethernet like Netboot? Thank you
the chirio actually connects to the dimm board via IDE & JTAG ports.. however, the xbox v1 board has more ram then a stock xbox, and has a custom dash (which i dont think has ever been dumped)
If you mean an xbox 1 debug and not a chiro chiro, it has been dumped and tedeiiously reversed to run on retial units
I never seen a Chihiro devkit. But I have seen Chirhiro and Xbox Devkits. If you want a normal Chihiro to say, play games. Posible use a Devit to make it a chirhiro... more threads about this exsists and status is unkown to me. What some want to try is take a Devkit, Debug or retail, Make sure its has 128Mb ram(hack it maybe?) then load someway the Chihiro Bios and hope it works... (Now I dont explain software side or Sega DIMM board side how it works and how to replicate) But Xbox side it should be equal. Or one needs the Video chip to be exact, than one maybe shoald get a Devkit DVT3... please confirm Experts on Chihiro compared to devkits. Im trying to get to know more about the Xbox 1 family and Chihiro, I have not seen any proof of Non-chihiro running chirhiro software completely. there are threads here about the Bios running, some video feedback on pc side returned. Maybe using DIMM board on normal DVT(?) Anyway, One can buy Devkit or Debug, connect it to DIMM board and boot chihiro bios... pray to M$ gods for Luck Some including me hope to run Chihiro bios with software from some type of media (HDD ?) whitout Official/real sega hardware and boot into a game. then or before this be able to Emulate this in CXBX or equal emu on the pc. this requires replacement or removal of Sega DIMMboard and Scsi things and video output. The only game Ive seen work is Virtua Cop 3, which plays perfectly, other than not being able to save the settings from the test menu.
Thanks dear In this forum had some of specialist of CHihiro, I think we can use Dev kit and chihiro to gether because SEGA use the dev kit to develop their games, sure its easy to install the chihiro bios with phoenix bios loader. the 40 pin connector is the ide connector used for the gd-rom drive, the chirhio dimm board was built with a 40 pin ide connecotor inside, but it was never used, dont get this confused with the 40 pin xbox ide connector, i have 3 chirhio in peices, 1 type 1 and two type 3. type 1 plays just vc3.

I used a dos splitter and named it segaboot because I found the name segaboot.exe inside the 2 files using cxbx. No xbox or cxbx is running this.
Try looking through it with IDA along with the Xbox FLIRT file to identify various functions. Until someone does some serious analysis of this file or other Chihiro games, it's unlikely that any progress will be made.
I remember someone mentioning that VC3's Chihiro will only run VC3. That makes me think there are multiple motherboards floating around in these things.
