hypothétical: try to burn gd rom format a decrypted xbox game and try to run it via gd rom/ or netboot. For gd rom format try tools to burn dreamcast games on cd rom. But no remotes.
I'm an expert on both Xbox and Dreamcast media formats, at least a former expert, so I might able to help. I understand the Xbox boot process, and I understand GD-ROMs pretty well. Let's just say that I had a CD-R drive in my PC that was fully reading GD-ROMs six months before the Utopia boot disk came out. However, I don't know what the context here is, nor what is needed.
Thanks Myria, what we are currently trying to do is devise a way to extract the contents of a 1gb dump of Sega Chihiro games, we have an extract tool for the 512mb dumps which works on most games, but we can't get some of the 512mb dumps to run on the Xbox, so we thought maybe a 1gb dump might work on the Xbox. Basically, we are trying to devise ways of dumping Sega Chihiro games and the contents and running them on the Xbox.
How was this dump made? Like, what is it a dump of? A GD-ROM's second session, starting at MSF 10:02:00?
I do not know exactly how the dumps were made. Me, and most of members here, did not do the dumps. The dumps were made into .chd files and those .chd files is what we have been trying to extract, in various ways. I am not the most knowledgeable about this kind of thing, I am just someone who is very interested in getting Sega Chihiro games to work on the original Xbox. You might want to ask, I think the members name is "Klown" about the more specific stuff, cause I don't think I can give you an answer.
Dear Myria Thanks very much for your help. I am likeFlyodthebarber, I can't really help, but you could contact root670 thanks to him decrypt the iso from CHD, with his version about Fat X plorer. Other problem, with decrypt game like Ghostsquad, it's seems crash because of bad address memory when the mission loading (not enough virtual memory) and loading some of texture.
The dumps have FATX headers. Anyone selling a Chihiro system? I'd be willing to work more on this but I need the hardware.
I was just going thru some of my XBOX debug stuff and found that I have 2 XBOX ARCADE motherboards with the 128MB RAM and the MPCX X2. These are Chihiro motherboards right?
Sounds like it. Although they did use that same board for debug and dev systems. But if it's arcade then chances are they came from Chihiros.
Next to the IDE connector they say ARCADE and on the CPU heatsink they say ARCADE also. I am not sure if you guys still needed to dump the TSOP off them. The TSOP is a hynix The sticker next to the LPC says: "ARCADE" FLASH EEPROM SMC XM2 4923 XM2 4923 D05
It certainly wouldn't hurt if you dumped the TSOP, because then we could see what was changed in the kernel. If the MCP's label is truly "MCPX X2", it means that extracting the kernel from the TSOP is probably pretty easy to do. If nothing else, it's just a reverse engineering job. You probably could actually use a MatriXX mod chip to dump it, though you may need to modify the MatriXX firmware a bit (specifically, to copy a retail Xbox's MCPX X3 ROM into the high 512 bytes so that it'll boot like a retail as MatriXX expects).
dear friend this is dump of all card inside Chihiro, with a special PBL for xbox debug can install unleash x to format all HDD size (with other HDD cap at 125 G, also your HDD is bigger). I try to install chihiro bios with this PBL, but freeze black screen, because I think card chihiro missing. The Chihiro bios have exactly same size about of xbox bios. Maybe help. N64freak is working on finding something for me and in exchange he will be getting both of these chihiro boards. Soon enough these boards will see some type of action again!
If I hooked the arcade motherboard up with all the stuff from a standard xbox like the hard drive and DVD drive will it do anything? I do not want to ruin anything. I am just curious.
One guy succes to, he said it on the page 2 this topic: But when I try to conctact him for help, he kick ass me
