In DIMM board or in the battery who maintain electric tension in dimm board when Chihiro is off (the game is stock in dimm board but it's a flash memory/ram without power data is down). I think it's a good way, but why ghost squad runs (with some of graphics bug, and mission 3 missing), when we delete texture .bin file tex_common.bin? and moreover how to do that? One think, bookeping in function of time playing un block cars or more road in Outrun 2 (speculation sic...)
Hey guys, I am trying to help out here with getting other chihiro games going, but I am running into a problem with extracting the .chd files. I am using Mame 0.150 and trying to extract my chd files with chdman but so far I am totally unsuccessful. I know the commands have changed so maybe that is where I am messing up. Do I still put chdman and the chd files in their own directory separate from all the other files? Please help me out.
What we need is someone who can make a extract program for the 1gb dumps as well (I don't know how to program at all)
It's seems possible to extract 1GB games with Isobuster no free version, but I dont have it some body can try please?
I tried isobuster with both 512 and 1GB games today (although I didn't play with any advanced settings). Isobuster found some of the files but not all. The xbe files and the files in the media folder were not found. Perhaps its necessary to play with custom file signatures in the program?
Has anybody tried a Xbox compatible steering wheel with outrun 2 beta yet? I bet it would work. What would really be awesome is if forcefeedback would work too with a Fanatec Speedster 3 steering wheel. Anybody have one of these to give it a try?
I haven't tried one but I was under the impression that the fanatec used the "rumble" signal to emulate FFB. When I play OR2 Beta I don't get any rumble in my controller.
Steering wheel works fine, as I think Ive mentioned. No FFB, but I dont think the wheel I have has it anyway.
Thanks Tkeahi Had you try to Right click click "Find missing files and folders". You could see page with complet extract method. Maybe we can use .xbe from 512 version.
Yes, I tried that. It depends on the game but sometimes the program does find some additional *.gz files. For example, working with VC3 1GB the "find missing files and folders" command found about 20 files, mostly *.gz. No xbe files, although I need to need the isobuster help file and see how to add my own file definitions. The bigger problem is that there's no way to tell what folders the found files should go into. For VC3, I'm assuming the structure is the same as the 512 format where everything goes directly into the "media" folder. I'll try extracting the *.gz files and see what all is there. Question: can someone with an actual Chihiro and a multimeter test the AV cable and tell me how it's wired? I've attached a pic for reference. Are 9+10 connected or open? Are 11+12 connected or open? Are 13+14 connected or open? Thanks!
Dear all Someone with a better english than me could take part at this thread: http://gbatemp.net/threads/crediar-releases-quadforce-2-0.347158/ try to admit to Crediar to help us. triforce and Chihiro it's the same issue (and same frimware inside). I discussed one time with Crediar on his youtube channel, it's seems not interresting. Thank you NB:tkeaki sorry I can help you with hardware
Triforce is quite a bit different than the Chihiro, it would require work from someone who is interested. If he isn't interested, no amount of convincing will change that.
I understand, but the differrence between is very small, we need share our problem and their solution on Triforce for inspiration. Internet is sharing.
I tested quadforce for wii, it's really fantastic, run well. One potential problem in Chihiro is the Main ID BD like parameter for function in .xbe for boot freeze, Crediar change it and indicate this: "CRED-QUADFORCEv4" Other thing, rumble run like for F zero AX for example, it's very important for Ourun 2 beta for FFB wheel (in Xbox with fanatec it's a not a really FFB, but rumble re translate in FFB). Oh I m very sad, if only Crediar just see one times Chihiro.
I think the most productive way of figuring out how the Chihiro works would be to compare a Chihiro game to it's console counterpart (if it exists). In particular, you should compare the start up routines of Crazy Taxi on the Chihro vs the home version. You could probably do the same with Outrun 2.
