    Ignorance.

You would'nt be laughing so hard if you had friends so caught up in sex and porn that they thought about killing themselves. I know many people addicted to porn/masturbation...it's a growing problem seeing how it takes 20 minutes to download any movie that tickles your fancy.

Not everyone wants to waste their lives sitting around wanking to a DVD.

    ????

I was commenting on the fact that the kid had only looked at porn a few times, and they had him as an example on the news. I thought it would be better if they had an addict or something on there to prove their mission.

Emoticon does not equal laughing my ass off. It was an ironic type of funny. I realise anything can be addicting and harmful if abused. Trust me, I know that.

Maybe this topic was a poor idea. My apologies.

It's cool...I'm just a little touchy on this subject because I have close friends who hurt. :smt022

Well it wasn't as "hush-up" as it is now. Heck, back then before the Nicene Creed, a christian could have more than one wife. Learned this from Humanities Late Roman-Early Medieval.

Live and let live and never bring religion into a discussion. It is just asking for trouble.

What's really scary is that people like this vote.

Yes, pornography is "bad" enough to keep away from children, but from adults? No way.

And since when is it worse than crack? You don't see "porn addcits" ripping off car stereos to get the next penthouse or the new Fetish sweaty German triple penetrations part three: Donkey style DVD.

This has got to be a joke... addicted to porn? Are you for real? Is it really that bad? If you don't like it, or have ideological reasons against looking at it, I would have thought the answer is obvious: just don't look. If you do, don't beat yourself up over it, the drive behind it is an animal thing that's natural. Get over it. It's hardly a growing problem, either - I think it's safe to assume that people have been masturbating since long before the internet came around.

If you have a problem with the conditions in which porn videos are made, that's a different matter. I don't think you are though.

i don´t know if i shall laugh (i did first time i read it)

    but i agree with you

  10. Right, makes perfect sense.

Wait, no it fucking doesn't. The Nicene Creed was established by bishops of Constantine's Holy Roman empire at the Council of Nicea as a way to easily affirm the basic beliefs of the Church. In Judaism as portrayed in the Old Testament, it was common for men to have more than one wife (interesting note: all the men having multiple wives usually ended up in some trouble due to one of them - subtle hint that more than one is too many?), however, with the New Testament and the formation of the early Christian church, polygamy was actively discouraged.

I'd have to agree with you on that one.

And I've noticed that a lot of you have stated you don't mind porn but would have a problem with women being mistreated. I'd suggest finding a book or documentary on the porn industry - if you are really opposed to mistreatment of women, you might look at pornography in a different light.

Then again, if you were REALLY opposed to that sort of thing, I'd gather you probably wouldn't be supporting an industry that promotes the objectification of women as mere sex toys anyways...

    Calm down guys :angry

Even if you're sensitive on subjects people can still be offended IE: You're being like some kind of politician and not saying what you truly feel so either way the whole political correctness thing is full of crap.

There is nothing wrong with a bit of porn , some people like it, some don't, others like different types of porn but not other types. Each to their own - noone is right or wrong when it comes tothe morality of pornography, whatever floats your boat floats your boat.

Just a pointer to equal rights chaps - if someone has the right to not be abused, wouldn't equal rights give someone the right to abuse? If not, then it ain't realy equal, is it?

Well said LeGIt. Nothing wrong with a bit of porn now and then. I watch it, my wife has, my friends have, in fact almost every one I know has. Nothing wrong with it. After all we all do it or will do it. If we didn't there would be no more human race.

Like LeGIt said, there are many types of porn and not everyone will like all of it. To quote LeGIt "What ever floats your boat!"
