I'd just like an app that has an option to view a text list of your games, organised by platform, release year, genre, condition, etc, as well as an option to view photos of them. Why doesn't an app like this exist yet? They exist as separate things, but not together.

The site seems pretty good, but is there a way to message users?

    EDIT: Figured it out.

I've been using that site for almost a year and It is the best website by far because of the community. There is also http://gametz.com that does a good job but it's not as appealing graphically as VGC.

So you can submit those games that are missing.
I've been using vgcollect since it was in Beta. Already put in enough work with my own collection and adding missing entries to their database that I prob wouldn't ever try to use another site.

I've signed up to a bunch of collection based sites that offer lists and found that many don't contain the specific variants for me (being Australia...) there is a program I once found through torrent but I can't recall it now and haven't used it. Instead I have set up spreadsheets for each console and split the games into PAL and NTSC pages, then I hyperlink the photo album location on the harddrive. I leave a comment column that then automatically colours in the game title based on condition ie. complete is green, missing manual/cartridge only is yellow, needing replacement due to poor condition is red.

Photobucket is good too if you upload all the photos to it - accessible online and easy to use.

Good point above though - help the database grow and enter in the missing information.
