do you have 3D Printed USB-GDRom inserts can use without metal plate support from not working GDROM drive ?

 

I have one that is in progress, there is not a full insert yet, but I do have a working mount for just the board. My free time has been really limited lately, but I do hope to get it finished sometime soon.

DO you have something for USB GDROM and HDD USB (for big size not founud usb flash drive with competetive price...) like this:

 

I haven't had a lot of time at home, so I haven't had access to my Saturn to measure it for a picopsu mount, it's on my list of things to work on though.
I have some plans for a bare 2.5" HDD inside the Dreamcast for a USBGDROM, I released the mount for the board a few weeks ago, I'm adding mounting points to that design that will support the drive under the USBGDROM board, then you can use a USB to sata adapter to interface the drive to the USBGDROM. I'll be printing the first test of that design soon, I'm just waiting for the adapter to arrive so that I can do all the testing.

This is a crazy question, can you print replacement GameCube shells/cases that have the larger cutout for full size DVDs?

 

TLDR: Possibly when I get time to work on it.

I've looked into it a few times to see what it would take. It's possible but it would be extremely time consuming. It would have to be multiple parts to overcome limitations of printers and to create something that would be durable enough for the task. Also keep in mind 3d printed parts might not be astetically pleasing with layer lines and other defects that present in the process. The price would also be prohibitive for such an undertaking. It would likely take two days or more to print everything, that is a lot of print time.

The design time is also an issue for me right now, school is in full swing so I don't get a lot of time for massive projects. Which is why most of my stuff lately has been small things or polishing past projects. It's the kind of project that I would enjoy emensely if I had the time. So I guess it's a long winded maybe.

 

Any news about saturn Pico psu support? for VA0 with T plug? Maybe one ide add a fan support for VA0 (hole in the power supply side)

I'm still working on it, I just am not home much so I have not had the time to really dig into it, but I do have the T-Plug modeled, I think for the Saturn it will have to be a separate piece since the PicoPSU will need to sit closer to the front of the system to avoid the lid mechanism.
