Note : This has been cleared with Assembler.

As some of you have seen, my Alpha kit is currently for sale in the marketplace. Having just graduated from University, and needing some cash for both photography and to move on in life, I put it up for sale. I realize that the unit is huge, and at the end of the day, what most people want is for the games themselves to be preserved.

This thread is to gather interest in a community dump of these games. These games are untouched, apart from dates due to the transferring of files.

A.I. the Circuit is an unreleased game that, apart from small mention in an article by "Surfer Girl" I believe it was, nothing else on the Internet exists about this game. It is playable, with at least two players. One character has a tendancy to crash the game, and it is clearly unfinished, but it works. This game in particular has some debug text files that I haven't played with due to me not wanting to break anything.

The Simpsons Road Rage is an e3 build that allows for some demoing of the game, and of course is playable.

Dark Summit has to executables, one of which works. The game will still crash from time to time, and also isn't complete, but again is playable.

The issue most of you will have is the fact that there aren't a lot of Alpha kits out there, and issue that is unfortunately being seen with the 64DD dumps going on. And there is no way around that, unfortunately. But what may interest those of you without a kit is a set of seemingly-windows EXE files included in Dark Summit. This starts a window up, but unfortunately is missing libraries of some sort, and thus the game doesn't load. I dont know if this could work with the libraries, or if it would help at all in an emulator, but it is something that, to me, could be interesting for those with more knowledge than myself.

Now, of course, there is the issue of money, the thing that no one likes to talk about. I know this is no Sonic Xtreme, or Halo, or anything of that nature, but the fact remains that very little is out there in regard to Alpha kits. I know a few people with various games, one of which had Dark Summit and e3, but I was never able to confirm whether or not they were the same builds.

Regardless, I, at the very least, want some software to get out there to you guys with kits but no games. For that reason, I am pricing the Simpsons and Dark Summit, both together, at 400$ even. All I ask is that with any donations that would come, is the fee gets paid or it doesn't go to the total.

For A.I. the Circuit, I would be asking quite a bit more. The game is unreleased, after all. For this, I would want 900$. I realize this is a lot, but it is honestly what I feel it is worth, or, at the very least, worth to me. If this goal can be reached, Ill also throw in a utility called p3dview, which I assume views certain files but never really played with.

As of right now, I am only taking pledges and gauging interest. If enough interest is there, only then will we move forward with actually collecting money. Please comment on what games you would be interested in as well, to get as much detail as possible!

To be clear, what is this Simpsons game? Since there's two that were released on Xbox, I don't know which this is supposed to be.

So would we have to have a special xbox to play these? mines modded, but not an alpha kit.

Yes, you would. Which is why I realize its a bit much for the considerably limited use. But in this case, the price is due to the rarity of it all.

    Justified IMO as well.

If I wasn't potentially facing a life changing event on a scale of those who went through Fukushima I'd be the first to donate.

Understandable. Im both trying to get this photography thing off the ground, while trying to find a job that may have me moving across the country so every cent counts.

For the time being, thats correct. But its no different than m2 stuff being relatively unusable, or the 64dd. The difference is these have some PC exe files, and more closely resemble PC hardware/software than Xbox, so they could possibly (no guarantees) have some use to other people.

Glad to hear it. If it goes forward, I would probably do one set at a time, although that remains up in the air until full interest is gauged.

I would throw a few bucks towards this, probably won't be able to put a big dent in this but, every bit counts right?

Life changing event averted but I wouldn't have any considerable discretionary income until mid/late August which would appear to likely be a time frame where this would get started.

Yeah, at the earliest. For the time being, I have the files backed up and such, so they wont/shouldn't disappear.

Just giving this a bump. Thinking about going ahead with the first two titles and seeing how that goes, but i'd still like to see if anyone else is interested enough.

I had to turn in some paperwork today to jump through hoops for Financial Aid at my "college" which means I'll hopefully be able to chip in a donation later next week.

If these only run on alpha kits... Makes me tempted to revive my aborted alpha kit hack together. Don't suppose I could coerce you into writing down a few part numbers? :love2: (Just would be nice to have original parts to use if possible or at least FCC IDs to find out what was used originally exactly)

BTW, the offer for a floppy drive and discs is still on the table. Though IIRC the original intent was to dump the video card BIOS which if I further recall correctly has been done since I first issued the offer. However the BIOS for the Intel mobo hasn't been as of yet to my knowledge.

Yeah that was the plan, which seems to have been taken care of. Ill see if I can get you some part numbers next time I have it out (im lazy hah). I had downloaded the original manual for the motherboard at some point, so that should be easy to find. I thought someone had dumped the Intel bios as well? I cant remember.

And so far, yeah, only Alpha Kits can run them. I hope the EXEs (regardless of them missing libraries) can shed some light on the function of them, but Im not the person to ask.

Edit: And hey, Financial Aid? Take out the extra cash, and donate for all of it! Hero for all! Haha
