Community Dump: crash bandicoot beta psx :)

I have absolutly no idea how to load levels 'properly', I am encountering too many issues using this method of level changing through the map. The process of level changing differs alot compared to the retail, I don't think it's possible to change levels like before, just can't find the correct address which controls it. Anyone else tried?

 

How do i access the debug menus?.... and anything else.

 

There might be some hidden ones. For now, L1 + R1 = inf health o.o

 

Both ISOs have some "read errors".

If I remember correctly, the source copy was sent back to Sony and destroyed. :gravedigging: You can say "Thank you!" to the reviewer who made the copy of the original. Otherwise, this build could be lost forever. I'm not sure if any other copies of this build were made and any of them are still alive.

Both "source" copies (drx's and djemotion's) are just copies of the original. I don't know how the first copy was made. Was the first copy incorrectly copied or the original was incorrectly burned?... Any ideas?

Both copies (drx's and djemotion's) have the same quantity of the blocks and they are really old. If you copy the CD using "BIN+CUE" format you lose 1 or 2 blocks. So, are they both copied from one source? Any ideas?...

 

I don't think it's fixable. Just skip the level? I've had this issue with some Tomb Raider betas, they crash half way into levels etc. Maybe it's incomplete? Not loading? It sure as hell looks like it, I remember when I went on that level o.0

 

Every beta has a different level format that is possible to reverse and document. If you find it out,you can implement a fix that restores most of it.
