Capcam actually has been pretty great at doing stuff.

Theres a company called Capcom that does it too.

Cave has officially sold out w/ their next release going to really bad levels of 3D. If they follow suit (which I can only assume they will) I'll chalk them up there ignoring their hardcore fanbase.

On that note, I realize that a lot of people aren't really blessed with common sense, but let me put it quite simply: these people aren't making games for their health. If they have to make shitty games to eat, blame the fuckwads buying all the crap games.

Some of us enjoyed life better when Street Fighter and it's million spinoffs weren't coming out. I'll take that back when they rehire Clover Studio and pump out Okami II.

Exactly. All of them will screw over their fans as long as they can get more money that way. Just look at Nintendo.

And what's this about Capcom listening to their fans? If they really did that, Clover would still exist. Mostly Capcom just rehash the tired Resident Evil series and occasionally release a new version of Street Fighter. If we're lucky, the new SF might not be a rerelease of SFII and if we're really lucky, they might remember they actually have other IPs (see: Mega Man 9, Bionic Commando Rearmed).

If you try to please everyone, you please no one.

Never listen to the mob, then you get shit like EA games.

If Cave stopped making arcade shoot 'em ups tommorrow then it wouldn't affect them much, they seem to make far more money from Beads Mania, Mobile Phone Content (I say content as they distribute a lot of music this way and games make up the smallest share, even fortune telling content has a larger market share) and online games like Shin Megami Taisen Imagine...

Their games department makes the least of their 3 departments. It doesn't mean it's expendable. If it were as you say, it probably wouldn't be there. They're not doing it for their health.

Even if it only made 20% of their profits, it's still in the black. Also, the numbers they've given out aren't clear where their game-related merchandise falls.

There never a big deal. I now use VC for my old Nintendo games and haven't seen any bad edits aside from no rumble.

Wave Race they dumped the kawasaki ads for Nintendo DS and Wii banners.

Kid Icarus no idea wtf that is. What did it do?

Zelda NES is the Zelda Collectors edition version with better translation.

Clover Studio made Okami. Okami sold like absolute shit on the PS2 in Japan. Probably didn't sell too well in the US either, but I don't have the numbers. Capcom fired Clover Studio. No more Okami. Simple, no?
