Wow! I've never seen so many Gran Turismo games in one place! I have a small and modest Gran Turismo sub-collection (Mostly all sealed copies), but this is inspirational! Looks like a lot of effort and passion has gone into such a collection! Kudos! PS. Here is a link to my humble GT sub-collection: Gemini-Phoenix's Sealed Gran Turismo Collection Nowhere near as impressive, although I do have more GT games in my collection
Thanks they are just little bits (bar the GT2000 which is a bit of a biggy), i have some exciting stuff in the post right now. Will get them up as soon as they show up. Thanks but there are bigger GT collections than mine. I like your sealed stuff, ive been thinking about doing the same but i know it would get silly and need to be all games from all regions, while doing a sealed PAL collection would be the easiest i might try and do the US & Jap versions sealed then keep PAL for playing. You should post your sealed games in the "sealed games thread" just need to get GT2. If you are interested in getting any PAL titles i could help and do some trades for a couple of ntsc/u that i need.
Yeah it was the early build of what later became GT3. It was presented at the playstation festival. The game was then delayed and so the name had to be changed.
Its only got 1 race, with 1 car option (evo 5) with just a few colour options and its a 90 second countdown game time. It is not visualy as good as GT3 (looks more like GT2) and the driving physics are not quite perfect. Its really just a beta.
That PS2 is epic! Also I found out that GT2000 is actually GT2's engine running on PS2 hardware with a higher resolution. Where did you get it BTW?
Actually, GT2000 uses an improved GT2 engine, but lacks anti-aliasing, and lots of other things. Lighting and improved textures are two of the more noticeable ones. Comparison between GT2000 x Final GT3 here: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/094/094409p1.html Click on the pictures to make them bigger. Videos are not online anymore though... Anyway, GT2000 was like a GT2 on steroids.
I was watching some videos on Youtube and I think GT2000 looks like it has better physics.
Not sure really, its more like a phone charm attachment but its a bit big for that. Just a random Yahoo Japan purchase.
Cheers Johnny. As with all thing Gran Turismo there are lots of limited runs of GT Design cars that have been made into models. There is a Toyota TS020 which i would very much like and also a carbon body Test Car version of the Ford GT by AutoArt that i just missed out on.
