I've only played it a coulple of times but the physics feel much more arcade style, something like ridge racer, not simulation like GT should.

 

Well, GT2000 is just a GT3 Beta. The final game was improoved.

IMO GT2 better represented the behavior of a car during understeer/oversteer. I think the physics are more realistic compared to 3 and especially 4. The cars looked like they roll way to much under slight cornering although it's not as bad as cars in GTA IV:lol:.

 

GT is the only racing game i play in 1st person (front bumper view) so i never really see the way the car actually moves. That said GT2000 can only be played in the behind car view so maybe my theory on the physics is incorrect.

I would agree with the GTA IV comment but that not a driving sim so we cant really be too harsh on it.
I think the car physics have improved with the series, i think that is what makes GT what it is.
It is also what makes playing GT5prologue online the most frustrating racing game ever; due to the bandits who just want to bash their way past everybody on the track.

 

Thank god it doesn't work like that on Forza 2. anybody who tries that ends up with their steering severely out of alignment.

I've had the GT2 bag and tin for a while but i keep it wrapped up as the bag is in perfect unused condition.

Ebay hasn't had anything press related for ages, the last thing i saw was the GT4 press pack i purchased before christmas.

I have a Brazilian friend who also says it is really difficult to get euro/jap stuff.

I keep trying to get her to do a PS controller, i bought a cheap PS1 to mess about with - plan on changing LED and doing a bit of painting - maybe that will inspire her to do something new.

She was talking about doing a LBP PS3 controller. Will post a pic if she ever get her finger out and does it.
